The Amazigh Film Festival is an annual event which was founded in Los Angeles in 2007 by Helene E. Hagan, President of Tazzla Institute for Cultural Diversity, Inc, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the promotion of the Amazigh (Berber and Tuareg) culture.

Mr. Othman BenJelloun, his spouse, Dr. Leila Mezian BenJelloun , their daughter Dounia BenJelloun and the BMCE Fondation (Dr. Benjelloun, President) are the benefactors of the Amazigh Film Festival (2008-Present).

They, as individuals, and their Moroccan charitable organization have supported the presentation of Amazigh culture through films and documentaries in the United Sates for more than a decade.
